As we ended the 2006/2007 academic year, Student Affairs departments continued to engage record numbers of students in each of our programs and services. We know that engaging students in programs that help them connect to the university translates to retention and success. Our primary goal is to support the academic mission of San Diego State University.

In Student Affairs, our priority is to provide quality services and programs to students, as reflected in the heart of our Student Affairs mission:

Our students depend on all members of the SDSU community to work collaboratively to deliver valuable services and learning opportunities. We have taken tremendous steps within the division’s departments to continue to build an infrastructure that supports student success and student growth. I especially want to acknowledge our partners across campus who have made student success a priority – including the President’s Office, Academic Affairs, Business Affairs, Aztec Shops, University Relations and Development, the Division of Undergraduate Studies, Athletics, and Associated Students.

We have focused the work of our division on:

It is our belief that every student should have access to a university education. In order to do so, we strive to provide greater access to financial resources, supportive student services, and diverse learning opportunities.
