Transfer Orientation (August 2018)

All transfer students are expected to attend New Student Orientation

Here’s why you must attend:

  • Register for classes (if basic course registration fees are paid with no holds, transcripts have been received, and you attend the entire orientation program approximately 8 am - 6 pm)
  • Receive a preliminary degree evaluation showing how your classes will transfer to SDSU
  • Understand General Education, major, testing, and graduation requirements
  • Receive essential academic planning and course registration assistance
  • Learn how to use SDSU’s Web registration system
  • Meet in groups by major with Assistant Dean, faculty advisor, and trained student Ambassadors
  • Ease your transition to SDSU
  • Learn what it means to be a responsible member of the SDSU community

Space is limited for each orientation program (to allow students to make connections). Do not make travel arrangements before you have made a reservation for New Student orientation. You can make your reservation online beginning on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 10 am (PST).

Once in the registration system you will be able to choose from ONLY the dates still available for your major. If you can travel to San Diego only once for any SDSU events, please attend New Student Orientation in August.
