Computer Hardware Purchasing
Before purchasing computer hardware, you must first:
- Check the Minimum Workstation Standards web page for current campus standards.
- Consult with Technology Services for additional divisional recommendations/information.
Please arrange to have the computers delivered to mail code 7449 which is in room SSW-2549 for configuration/security hardening.
When purchasing new computers, monitors or printers be sure to request for a quote that includes a 3 to 5 year maintenance agreement depending on the expected replacement cycle of the equipment being purchased.
SDSU has software license agreements in-place with various software makers. San Diego State University contracts with various software vendors to provide site-licensed software for active faculty and staff.
