Frequently Asked CAAT Questions

Q: Is there tutoring on the weekends?
A: No, tutoring sessions are only conducted during CAAT office hours, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Q: What if there is no tutoring for a class I'm taking? May I request a tutor?
A:       Yes, you may request a tutor for your subject by submitting a form to CAAT staff. Please note that when you request a tutor, you are committing yourself to at least two (2) hours of tutoring per week. If you fail to meet this minimum requirement, you will no longer be allowed to request tutors.

Q: How long does it take to find a tutor after I've filled out a Tutor Request at the front desk?
A: The tutor search and hiring process takes about two weeks.  However, depending on the subject, some courses may be difficult to find. If we cannot find a tutor for you within two weeks, we encourage you to ask your classmates and friends to come to the CAAT center and become a paid tutor for you.
